Hydrotherapy Spa Treatments

Hydrotherapy Bath
This is basically a relaxing soak in a private therapeutic Jacuzzi (usually hot) that opens up the pores and allows you to sweat out toxins, as well as promoting psychological and muscular relaxation. Most have pulsating water and air jets that massage you all over - often computerized so you can select different massage patterns. Often the therapist adds various medicinal elements to the water such as salts, essential oils, milk or seaweed preparations.

Inhalation Therapy
Inhalation therapy is when saunas or steam rooms are scented with essential oils or herbs. The nasal passage clearing eucalyptus is the most common additive, but but lemongrass, lavender and other herbs have also become popular, as has sea salt.

Vichy Shower
Originating in France, the Vichy shower consists of a row of shower heads suspended over a massage table. You lie on the table and are sprayed down from stem to stern on both sides. It is usually done as part of a body mud treatment, though is both relaxing and stimulating on its own.
